This beautiful 8" Sony would not power on. Upon opening it, it was obvious a couple of the diodes were burned up, and a fuse blew, but it wasn't until I tested one of the transistors that I found it had also failed. I replaced the transistor, fuse, diodes, and when installing the diodes I raised them off the board some to help them not overheat. Now it's working great! It's nice to know that these parts have been replaced, because I've seen them die on other sets, so it seems they're prone to failure.
I also replaced the speaker in this, as the previous one was buzzing bad. I still hear a slight buzz when the volume is up.
